Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Homebase (the "Service"). This page is maintained by the Homebase team and describes the current terms in plain language. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Homebase is a platform that lets independent musicians ("Artists") publish an artist website, collect email addresses from fans, receive direct financial support, and share their music. Fans ("Fans") can visit those websites, join an artist's list, react to music, and send support.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter into a contract in your country.
• You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
• You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every song, lyric, photo, logo, bio, and other material you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant Homebase a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and transmit it strictly so we can operate and improve the Service for you and your Fans.

You represent that you own Your Content or have all the rights and permissions needed to upload it and to let Fans stream, download, or otherwise use it in the ways your artist page allows. If you use samples, features, or third-party material, you are responsible for clearing them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, promote, or link to material that violates our Content Policy, breaks the law, infringes anyone's rights, or attempts to defraud Fans. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do so.

5. Fan support and payments

Homebase surfaces a support button on each artist page so Fans can send Artists money directly. Payment processing, refund handling, and applicable taxes are handled by the payment provider(s) integrated with the Service. Homebase is not a bank, payment processor, or tax adviser. Artists are responsible for reporting and paying any tax owed on support they receive.

6. Email to Fans

Emails you send through Homebase must be to people who chose to join your list on your artist page. You must not import purchased or scraped lists. Fans can unsubscribe at any time and we will honour that request.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Content Policy, or applicable law, or where we are legally required to.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that specific promotional results (fans, sales, streams) will occur.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homebase is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app.
